TNRHA GREEN REINER PROGRAM

New TNRHA Green Reiner Program starting in 2021

Classes formerly held separately because of different showing rules will now be held as one “TNRHA Green Reiner” class.

TNRHA Green show rules will duplicate NRHA Green Reiner 1 and 2 showing rules; the TNRHA Green Reiner class will not require 1) a flying lead change or 2) the rider to show one handed throughout the pattern.

There will be only one “graduation” level beginning with 2020 show results.

Any rider still eligible for either NRHA Green 1 or Green 2 as of January 1 will be eligible for TNRHA Green classes until they point out of the TNRHA Green Reiner program (see eligibility below)

TNRHA Green Reiner show rules will now read as follows:

  • Uses NHRA approved patterns
  • The rider can choose to ride with one or two hands at any time throughout the run
  • The rider can choose to perform either simple or flying lead changes without penalty
  • Standard NRHA Rules for legal bits and attire (long sleeve shirt, hat/helmet, boots, western saddle and western bridle) will apply

Bobbie Parson

The Bobbie Parsons Memorial Green Reiner Sportsmanship Award

The Bobbie Parsons Memorial Green Reiner Sportsmanship Award was set up to honor a wonderful person who lost her life to cancer in 2015. She loved horses, reining and TNRHA. This award represents her life and the characteristics that she represented. Each year, this award will go to an outstanding Green Reiner 1 that is friendly, helpful, willing, supportive, and courteous. This award is not won in a show pen. It is designed to highlight people that have the willingness to go the extra mile for the people around them.
